Thought for the day: Decisions are the choices we make. A mistake happens when we choose not to learn from our decisions.
- Decision – the act of or need for making up one’s mind.
- Choice – the right, power, or opportunity to choose.
Goal: To remain teachable and ever learning from each decision. We truly never arrive, but continue to grow in wisdom and knowledge with every choice we make.
“Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. But if you do, make new ones. Life is too short to make the wrong choice twice.” -Joyce Rachelle

I was taught that this is actually a simple concept. Choices already exist, they are not made. We simply select (take) a choice much like we would decide which book (already written) we take off a shelf. In this example to make a choice we’d first have to make all the books and then take whichever we wish. You make your bed. To take your bed you’d have to carry it around with you. You take a position or a stance or a decision that already exists and need not be made.
